Laparoscopic repair of giant inguinal hernia by Dr. Iraniha
This video demonstrates my technique of hernia surgery for removal of extremely large hernia sac and incarcerated fat from the hernia defect during the laparoscopic hernia repair of a giant inguinal hernia. The large hernia sac is always adhered to the main structures like testicular blood vessels and was deference and needs to be dissected precisely to prevent the injuries and complications. The inguinal hernia never closes spontaneously and it just gets bigger by time. As it gets larger, it creates more scar tissue and adhesion which makes the hernia repair much harder and riskier. Therefore, prompt surgical evaluation by an Orange county hernia specialist is essential. This operation was performed through three small incisions and took 60 minutes. Minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic and robotic surgery really improves the patients’ outcome and makes an amazing difference in their recovery.
At Surgical Oasis Institute an Orange County Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery center Dr. Iraniha has the expertise to perform all complex laparoscopic and robotic surgical procedure to minimize the patients’ postoperative pain and improve their outcome.
